Why don’t I go back to school?

Today someone suggested, half joking, that if I’m so interested in health and nutrition perhaps I should go back to school for it. Someone said the same thing when I was immersing myself in gardening and agricultural reform. And about business before that, and philosophy, and psychology…

“If you find that so interesting, why not go back to school?”

Because school would take more time than is necessary and only slow me down. School, today, has less to do with learning and more to do with securing credentials in order to land a job. But I prefer to make my own job. And with interests so varied and information so free I prefer to live more nimbly.
